During a housewarming ceremony at his Bidii residence, Eng. Mukiri’s dedication to the community shone brightly.
Guests from various backgrounds were treated to warm hospitality, a reflection of his deep connection to the people of Kwanza.
Through his foundation, Eng. Mukiri has championed numerous community development projects, addressing critical socio-economic issues.
"We have initiated diverse programs to uplift humanity in the constituency as part of giving back to society," he shared during the event.
One of his recent efforts includes distributing food supplies to flood-affected families in Kapomboi Ward, demonstrating his compassion and hands-on approach to disaster response.
"It was humbling to join and support the resilient families of Kapomboi Ward after the devastating floods last year," he said.
The foundation, led by Director of Special Programmes Simon Kairo, focuses on four primary pillars: education, sports, health, and women’s and youth empowerment.
These pillars form the backbone of a strategy designed to address the most pressing challenges in Kwanza.
Under the education pillar, Eng. Mukiri’s foundation recently added three more needy students from the constituency to its scholarship program, increasing the number of beneficiaries to 29.
In addition, the foundation actively promotes sports, enhances healthcare services, and empowers women and youth through skill-building initiatives.
"Eng. Peter Mukiri Kamau’s work exemplifies the transformative power of philanthropy, fostering sustainable development and significantly improving the quality of life for residents in Kwanza Subcounty," said Mr. Kairo.
From education to disaster relief, Eng. Mukiri’s initiatives highlight the profound impact of selfless leadership and commitment to community betterment.
