Trans Nzoia County Delegation in Talks with Former President Obasanjo on Establishing a University

By Joan Ngetich A delegation from Trans Nzoia County, led by Speaker Andrew Wanyonyi, held a crucial meeting with former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo at the Obasanjo Presidential Library in Ota, Nigeria. The talks focused on exploring collaboration to establish a university in Trans Nzoia, following recommendations from a task force appointed by Governor George Natembeya. The delegation included Professor Masibo Lumala, chair of the university establishment task force, along with key county officials. Kenyan Nurses Offered New Career Pathways Abroad Amid Local Job Challenges

The initiative aims to connect Kenyan healthcare professionals with employment opportunities in countries facing nursing shortages, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. KenyanNurse Consultants has launched a global job opportunities linkage programme aimed at connecting Kenyan nurses with international employment. The initiative was introduced during a one-day sensitization and registration exercise at Equip Africa College in Kitale, where 159 nurses and final-year nursing students gathered to learn about career prospects abroad.
